The Weiss Center for International Financial Research was established in 1990 through a gift from George A. Weiss. The founder of George A. Weiss Associates, a fund management firm in Hartford Connecticut, Weiss is a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania and a graduate of the Wharton School, class of 1965.
The primary mission of the Weiss Center is to encourage research on international finance. This mission is to be pursued through the support of research activities at the Wharton School, the sponsorship of international conferences and research meetings, and the publication of working papers and monographs.
