Teaching Assistants (TA's) Needed for Spring 2005
The below courses are seeking Teaching Assistants (TA's) for Spring 2005.
To inquire, please email ganastas@wharton.upenn.edu
with a list of the Finance courses you have taken. We ask that you please
attach an up-to-date resume to your email. Please also indicate
the course number(s) for which you are applying to assist (such as "TA
Inquiry for FNCE ..."), in the subject line of your email.
Also, please read below for specific TA requirements for each course.
TA positions are paid (taxable); only current Penn students may apply.
A student cannot TA for more than 1 course per semester. Duties
and time commitments are arranged between the TA and the professor. We
kindly thank you in advance.
COURSES NEEDING TA'S (update 1/11/05) FNCE 205/720: 002, 401: Investment Management. Requirements: undergrad or MBA, seeking only 1 TA. FNCE 208/731: International Corporate Finance. Requirement: seeking 2 PhD students. Please send email directly to lewisk@wharton.upenn.edu with "FNCE 208/731 TA Inquiry" in the subject line, list of FNCE courses taken and resume attached. FNCE 219: International Financial Markets. Requirement: student is required to have already taken FNCE 219. FNCE 239/739: Behavioral Finance. Requirement: PhD candidates only (Wharton or Economics PhD). FNCE 251/751: The Finance of Buyouts and Acquisitions. Requirement: seeking MBAs with some private equity experience, and 1 PhD. FNCE 399/890:001: Real Options. Do you posses 1) a strong background in basic finance and a good knowledge of derivatives and 2) a desire to apply those skills as a TA in a new Wharton Finance unit on Real Options that considers the valuation and management of a) R&D biotech and internet firms and b) natural resources ventures? If so, please send an email to grundy@wharton.upenn.edu that includes information on your grades in finance classes and attach a copy of your CV. FNCE 399/890: 401: Financial Engineering. Requirements: 1 PhD student. FNCE 399/890: 402, 403: Trading and Investing. Requirements: PhD or MBA students only. The TA for this class must be available to attend half of the classes, Mondays/Wednesdays, 10:30am to 12:00noon or 1:30pm to 3:00pm.
